Requiem: Freedom Fries
This piece was the result of an experiment I conducted at the University of New Orleans foundry facility. I used freshly fried potatoes in a plaster and sand investment mold which was then used to cast the final bronze piece. The "lost potato" (as opposed to "lost wax") method was a success, capturing and reproducing a great amount of detail.
